FESTIVALS

Well the festival season has officially begun! Here are some festival outfit ideas that you might like!

The Onesie-
This is for all you hard-core festival goers who want to be noticed by the music acts, festival fans and everybody in between! Not only are they attention-grabbing, they keep you warm in the temperamental British weather they also keep you pretty clean! And most come with a hood, perfect for any rain! Traditionally people normally go in tiger onesies but this year expect to see penguins, bears, the lot! I'm gonna try this one out at the V festival this year!
Primark have a good selection of onesies.

WELLIES!
Most people already know that wellies are a festival must have but some don't realise how important they are! Festivals get so much mud its unbelieveable! Last year at Reading 2011 I found that I could barely walk from the main stage to the gates without getting stuck. Wellies are ESSENTIAL!
Try the WellyShop.com for awesome wellies!

FACE PAINT!
Yes you read right, face paint is a must-have at any festival, you can do any design you want with any colour, it the most versitile thing ever! It gets you noticed and it looks great! I never go to a festival without facepaint, i love it! Amazon sell loads of different colours! Personally I find the the best brand of face paint is Stargazer.
ENJOY THE FESTIVALS!

Fashion is art-
Matching the colours, deciding what colours pop together and which colours bring an outfit to life.
Pairing the shoes and accessories, choosing the right clothes for the weather, making sure you're wearing enough clothes ;) Your body is a blank canvas-ready for something to be created and worn.
Some people are naturally good at the fashion of art-some really aren't.
Like art- everybody has their own sense of style. Some are girly, (frills and heels!) some people are tomboys, some are into biker leather, some are Gothic, some are sporty, rockers, some like wearing a miss mash of styles, some are hippie, preppy, some are into all the brands, some are into the band merch (ME! LOL) I could go on all day listing all the styles I've come across! I love exploring all the different ideas, reading all the magazines, learning about the art of fashion-researching every face of fashion, beauty, jewellery etc! But back to my point-Fashion is art.
What will you create?

Trends!

Currently in the flagship New York shop Forever 21 they're selling a lot of neon and 80s inspired lace clothing as well as colourful tops and feathered jewellry! Meanwhile at Tiffany&Co they have launched a new range using a brand new metal called 'Rubedo', advertised as 'capturing the light of dawn', for their 175 th anniversary! It's rosy tint is especially breath-taking. Now Christian Louboutin may be famous for his iconic red-sole shoes but I'm in love with his Sweet Charity Clutch bag in red! And finally, this season's watch in my eyes is the trendy, brightly coloured toy watch! The monochrome Light Blue and the monochrome green really stand out but if you feel like you want something unique then the the toyring Range is for you!!! A watch in a ring! Now that's cool!

There's one word that really has an impact on what people are wearing. That word is TREND. In my opinion trends are caused designers creating works of art and displaying them on the catwalk. The magazines talk about it, people wear it (normally celebs) and WHAM a new trend. Some people think they can set the new trend because they believe they're cool-admit it-you know at least one person a bit like that! And that's not completely a bad thing because they certainly have self-confidence! But I think the people who create the trends are the people who don't wear big brands head to toe, they don't try to copy somebody's whole outfit, they wear what they believe is original and fashionable, they're their own person and people admire that, and sometimes people like that start a massive trend. That's what I admire! So if you wanna start a trend, wear something that you want to wear, not something you feel like you should wear.

Today I decided to interview the fashion-conscious and my really good friend Pippa about all things fashion!!

Me: What's your fashion must have?
    Pippa: Coloured jeans!

    Me: Favourite fashion magazine?
    Pippa: Harper's Bazaare

Me: If you were stuck on a desert island, what fashion item would you bring?
Pippa: ooh ummmm, probably my crochet pj top!!!

Me: Where would you like to go in the world?
Pippa: India to see all the colours and the culture. I'd also like to go to London and stay at the Savoy hotel!

Me: You're known for your unique vintage sense of style, What's your favourite fashion era?
    Pippa: 1970's

Me: If you had to wear one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pippa: oh, um, I might have to do some research for this! Um probably a grand couture gown!

    Me: Heels/pumps?
Pippa: Oh, oh I don't know! Um pumps for fashion and comfort!

    Me: Colour blocking/pastels?
Pippa: pastels but colour blocking suits me better!

    Me: What's your dream buy?
    Pippa: A mulberry handbag

Me: Finally, what's your fashion no, no?
    Pippa: HEAD TO TOE HOLLISTER!
